ka_ata_logoKarate America
is a proud member
of the American Taekwondo Association

As the United States affiliate and founder of the World Traditional Taekwondo Union and the Songahm Taekwondo Federation, ATA holds its 800–plus member organizations up to high standards, expecting excellence and delivering the support necessary to make it happen.

Because of Karate America’s accreditation through ATA, our schools aren’t typical. We are able to offer our students the broader activities and events provided by ATA that aren’t available to non–affiliates. As a Karate America student, your martial arts training has better value by taking advantage of some of these ATA special activities and events:

Social Activities — Buddy Days, Family Events, Summer Camps, etc.

Promotional Testings — Offered monthly or bi–monthly, students must log a minimum number of classes and pass pre–testing requirements.

ATA Regional Tournaments — Divisions are broken down by rank and age, so kids and adults, white belts through black belts can participate.

ATA National Championships — Two national championships are held each year and include demonstrations, international black belt testing, international competition for all ranks, and a chance to meet the Master Instructors of ATA.

ATA World Championships — One world championship is held each year and includes demonstrations, international black belt testing, international competition for all ranks, and a chance to meet the Master Instructors of ATA.

In addition, we sometimes offer in–house tournaments, holiday parties and school picnics.

The American Taekwondo Association was established in 1969 in Omaha, Nebraska, and now has over 1500 branches in 16 countries, currently offering instruction to more than 300,000 students. Since the beginning, the ATA focus has been and remains to provide students with the highest quality martial arts instruction available in a safe and positive learning environment that people of all ages can enjoy. It is this philosophy that has established ATA schools and clubs as the leaders in the martial arts industry.
